Melinda has a passion for helping others to identify and achieve their goals. She also enjoys tackling challenges, removing barriers, and creating processes to help pave the way for individuals/departments/organizations to reach their potential and to have fun while doing it!
Melinda is an HR Consultant with strategic HR inc. She brings more than 20 years of combined experience in the areas of recruitment and selection, career development and counseling, workforce development, and HR project management. She has worked with companies spanning a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, engineering, IT, marketing & advertising, healthcare, finance & banking, education, and non-profit. As a result, she has implemented her excellent research and analytical skills to quickly gain a deeper understanding of new industries and target markets, as well as identifying effective recruiting strategies and sources.
Melinda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Human Resources Management and Psychology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Science Degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University. In the course of her studies, she discovered an affinity for technical writing and editing. Coupled with her exceptional attention to detail, she puts these skills into action daily as she helps clients to develop and fine-tune their recruitment and selection communication pieces.
Beyond her professional life, Melinda channels her love and devotion to her husband and two children. She can be found around the region leading Girl Scouting events, cheering from the sidelines at sporting events, applauding at theater/dance/music performances, volunteering in her children’s schools, and in quiet moments, she enjoys reading interesting books leading to great discussions at book club!
