Terry is a Senior Human Resources Consultant at strategic HR inc. with over thirty years’ experience in HR management and over two years’ experience in HR consulting in industries such as manufacturing, transportation and retail. For much of his career, Terry worked as an HR Director within companies with multiple, geographically dispersed locations, each with 15-300 employees. He is accustomed to working with business owners and managers on a broad range of challenges, including compliance investigations, employee engagement and communications, performance management, leadership development and training, recruiting and selection, labor relations, and federal and state law compliance and reporting.
One of Terry’s many strengths include customizing training programs to suit the clients’ needs. He has developed and conducted training on topics such as Basics for New Supervisors, Giving Positive and Constructive Feedback, Interviewing Skills for Individuals and Panels, Creative Problem Solving, Workplace Harassment/Discrimination/Bullying, How to Remain Union Free and How to Manage Employees in a Union Environment.
Terry has a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Psychology from Purdue University. He has held a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) accreditation for over twenty-two years and also holds a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) accreditation.
Terry and his wife, Jan, were born and raised in Anderson, Indiana and attended Madison Heights High School (go Pirates!). They have been married for forty-one years and have two children and two grandchildren.
