Colleen is an HR Business Advisor with Clark Schaefer Strategic HR. With a passion for problem-solving, she enjoys collaborating with clients to find effective solutions to their HR challenges.

Colleen has over 17 years of HR experience with small and mid-sized for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her experience spans across several fields including healthcare, education, architecture, engineering, and service providers.

Through the course of her career, Colleen has become well-versed in building HR departments that are designed to help businesses stay competitive in the labor market, maintain compliance, and manage legal risks. Her areas of expertise include payroll, compensation, benefits, policy and procedural development, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and workplace safety.

Colleen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from the Metropolitan University of Denver. She also attained her Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).

Outside of work, Colleen enjoys spending time with her family going on adventures and exploring new places.
