Cathleen is the Director of Training & Development with Clark Schaefer Strategic HR. She has a passion for working with leaders to build strong teams enabling organizations to grow, thrive, and foster a great work environment. Known for her customer-centric approach, her clients appreciate how she always looks out for their best interests.
Cathleen has over 25 years of HR consulting experience providing human resources support for companies ranging from 5 to 500+ employees in a wide array of industries including warehousing, manufacturing, healthcare, customer service, technology, insurance, and retail. She has advised clients on the day-to-day aspects of HR including complaint investigations, recruiting and selection, employee performance management, creating policy and procedures, and government compliance. Additionally, she has worked with organizations to align their HR operations and goals with company strategies.
Following another passion, Cathleen enjoys customizing training programs to empower managers, supervisors, and employees to excel in their roles. As an Everything DiSC certified facilitator, she is skilled at working with organizations to strengthen their culture and nurture a positive work environment.
Cathleen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Journalism Certificate from the University of Cincinnati. As a result, she is phenomenal at researching and staying abreast of current events that impact businesses, and she leverages her communication and writing background to help clients effectively engage with their employees. Cathleen is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the National Human Resources Certification Institute and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society of Human Resource Management. She also earned a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida.
Outside of work, Cathleen and her husband built a house in Springboro, OH where they are having fun settling in and making it their own.
