Our Story
Driven by a passion for solving HR challenges and an entrepreneurial spirit, Robin Throckmorton founded Strategic Human Resources, Inc. in 1995. Starting her own company was no easy task – especially as a mom of two babies born 13 months apart. Yet, rarely can you stop a woman on a mission. And unstoppable she was as Robin worked to grow her business helping small and mid-sized organizations meet their critical needs with exceptional, customized HR support. As a result of building an outstanding reputation as a trusted partner in talent management, the company’s client base and staff quickly grew.
Shortly after celebrating our 25th year in business, Strategic HR inc. joined Clark Schaefer Hackett to lead their HR business advisory services, and we are now known as Clark Schaefer Strategic HR.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we remember where we began. Our roots allow us to use our own experiences of being a rising small business to provide HR advisement to our clients, helping them to prosper and grow – and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Community Outreach
Community Service – We are proud to have a service-focused team at Clark Schaefer Strategic HR.
Many of our employees volunteer their time to lead and support all types of organizations ranging from youth services, sports organizations, school PTA/PTO, arts/theater organizations, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, animal shelters, church groups, and other non-profits.
Sharing Our HR Expertise – Recognizing we have a wide array of skills and expertise, our team members volunteer as keynote speakers, committee and board members, and program facilitators. We have shared our human resources expertise with various organizations ranging from nonprofit, educational, and professional associations.
