John is a Director at Clark Schaefer Strategic HR and loves helping people solve business challenges. With 30+ years’ experience running projects and operations, John focuses on delivery and exceeding expectations. He has worked in multiple industries including IT, environmental, manufacturing, and government.
From managing projects, John expanded his skills by running Professional Services organizations at Synchrony Communications and PCMS. He is adept at understanding the life cycle of a project, defining the scope of the project at the inception, and going above and beyond expectations. After running the Professional Services group at PCMS, John was promoted to group Vice President for the Retail Business where he ran operations for the America’s overseeing customer implementations and support in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
John also has experience with hiring, financial accounting, sales, and account management. An adept problem solver, John wears many hats in the organization helping to drive good decision making in assessing difficult situations. He believes in a positive culture of building a team that is self-aware and takes accountability for their commitments.
John has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Northwestern University and an MS in Environmental Management from the University of Findlay. John also holds a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) Certification by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). Previously, he held a Professional Certificate under the State of Ohio Voluntary Action Program and a DOD Top Secret Clearance.
When not busy at work, you can find John walking the dog or out on the golf course.
