Webinar: Science of Learning and Reinforcement

Does training in your organization need a refresh in order to deliver more value to learners and a higher return on development investment to the company? This high-energy webcast will cover the trouble with traditional training, why it no longer works for modern learners and the 3 Rs of Modern Learning that webinar attendees can start to implement to gain measurable effects on training and development ROI.

Learning objectives include:

1. Increase understanding of the strain between the human brain’s capacity for learning and remembering versus what we know about the Forgetting Curve and its impact on training ROI

2. Dissect how modern learners learn and why traditional training no longer works for this audience

3. Articulate how traditional training must evolve meet the changing demands of our workforce in order to meet learning objectives and increase employees’ effectiveness and productivity.

4. Implement the 3 Rs of Modern Learning to create a training revolution in any organization that improves training effectiveness, knowledge and skill retention through training reinforcement, and mastery of new behaviors through guided practice.

5. Demonstrate the 7 pillars of reinforcement that need to be addressed in a good development program to achieve an impact on the organizational strategy.

About the Facilitator

Susan Ruhl is currently the CEO of ICC Inc., an organizational development firm that is leading the way with cutting edge technology and solutions for reaching the modern learner. Susan has successfully led ICC to be named a “Top 100 Women-Owned Company” in 2014, 2016 and 2017. With more than three decades of business experience, Susan and her team have developed innovative solutions that provide more than 80% retention and on the job application of leadership skills.

Susan is currently the Board Chair for OI Global Partners, a worldwide network of outplacement professionals. ICC is the largest Colorado based Global Outplacement Firm.

After graduating from Marquette University with a degree in finance, Susan jump-started her career working for The Chicago-Tribune and Chiquita Brands. Entrepreneurial by nature, Susan also owned her own successful business working with clients that included Honey Baked Ham, Omni Netherland Plaza, the NFL, Cincinnati Bengals and Museum Works Galleries.
