Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Law: How it Will Work and Workplace Implications
Brian Higgins and Rich Moore will provide an overview of Ohio’s medical marijuana law and some related federal laws. They will then dive into employment-related issues posed by the law.
Richard L. Moore
Rich is a member of the firm’s labor and employment practice group. He defends clients in federal and state court litigation arising from claims of wrongful termination and allegations of various forms of protected class discrimination, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other statutory and common law claims. Rich also defends employers in workers’ compensation court appeals. Rich also both prosecutes and defends claims involving enforcement of non-compete agreements and allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets in state and federal court. Brian F. Higgins
Brian is an associate in the firm’s regulated business group. His focus on the health care industry provides him an opportunity to advise business and health care entities in corporate matters, formation and structuring, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Brian completed a corporate law fellowship working as corporate counsel to Medpace, Inc., a clinical research organization focused on the development of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
