More than 150 organizations, spanning 13 industries and representing over 110,000 employees participated in HORAN’s second annual Health Management Best Practices Survey which is the first ever comprehensive regional survey of its kind.

Please join us at one of our Health Management Symposiums as we share this year’s survey results and explain how evidence based data can be applied to your wellness program. The symposiums are being offered on two different dates and in two different locations for your convenience. HORAN will offer the Cincinnati Symposium on Wednesday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Xavier University’s Cintas Center and the Dayton Symposium on Thursday, April 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Dayton Racquet Club.

Both sessions will feature a keynote presentation from an industry leader in health and wellness. Joe Piscatella, one of the country’s most respected experts on how to live a healthy lifestyle, will kick off the Cincinnati Symposium as the keynote guest speaker. He is the author of 16 best-selling books, host of three PBS television specials, a “guest speaker” on WebMD and a member of the NIH Expert Panel on Cardiac Rehabilitation.

The keynote speaker in Dayton is Teri Nikolai Wilson, Employees First Wellness Program Manager at CareSource, which is a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan headquartered in Dayton. Teri has 30 years’ experience in the health care field. Her responsibilities at CareSource include development of the strategic plan, budget and oversight of the education and programmatic aspects of the wellbeing program. She is the author and co-author of several peer reviewed publications related to smoking cessation and respiratory care and has presented at regional, national and international conferences.

Following the keynote address, HORAN’s Health Management Directors, Rakel Sanchez and Scott Silver, will provide an in-depth overview of the survey results and address two crucial questions:

What are the critical wellness components for improving population health and your health care cost trend?
What are this year’s trends and challenges compared with the 2016 survey results and how you can address them to ensure program success?
